Teaching with Smart Board
Welcome to the Winneconne Community School District where we are dedicated to quality education and have a long-standing history of high academic achievement. We pride ourselves in offering small class sizes, a diversified curriculum, outstanding educators and administrators, and a wide range of extracurricular involvements. Winneconne School District strives to meet the needs of all learners and is committed to providing our graduates with knowledge, skills, habits, and attitudes that will empower each of them to be highly successful citizens in an increasingly complex society. In partnership with the community, we take great pride in their accomplishments. At the same time, we continue to grow, constantly searching for even better and more meaningful educational programming in our quest to best prepare students for their future.
About the District
The district is comprised of three school buildings, making it compact, friendly and thoroughly accessible.   There is one elementary school, located in the heart of the village serving a kindergarten – fifth grade population along with Early Childhood classrooms and special educational opportunities. Winneconne Elementary is approximately 675 students strong with a large staff and faculty to serve the needs of its students. Winneconne Middle School, a 6-8 grade facility, has been recognized as an Exemplary Middle School by the Association of Wisconsin School Administrators (AWSA) and continues to post high growth in reading and math scores ranking in the top 10% of all Wisconsin middle schools. With roughly 330 students enrolled, the school offers a variety of elective and extracurricular opportunities in addition to a great education to all students. Winneconne High School, the newest facility in the district, was constructed in the late 1990s. Modern and open, the high school is a top-notch facility in the Fox River Valley and offers a comprehensive high school curriculum, counseling and career center, activities, athletics, and a strong music program taught by an outstanding and dedicated group of educators.
About Winneconne
The Village of Winneconne has a population of approximately 2,250 people. It is located on the Wolf River with over 160,000 acres of waterway access to Lake Winneconne, Lake Poygan, Lake Butte des Morts, and Lake Winnebago. Winneconne offers an outstanding quality of life with its exceptional parks system, friendly village businesses and safe neighborhoods. The area offers many attractions such as boating, golfing, snowmobiling, shops, restaurants, museums, outdoor concerts, riverboat cruises and the finest walleye and white bass fishing in Wisconsin.
