Winneconne Community School District has implemented a rapid notification system called Skylert .  This automated system will be used to notify parents,  students and staff of school closings and other emergency situations.  Skylert can send thousands of phone, email, and text message notifications in just a matter of minutes.

In addition, WCSD will use Skylert to send daily attendance calls to notify parents if their child has unexcused absences

Parents can log into Family Access and indicate how they prefer to be contacted for emergency and attendance notifications by clicking on the Skylert link.  They can choose to receive phone, email, and/or text messages, and can update their contact information online as often as they like.

Emergency notifications will be sent to all phone numbers and email addresses on file.  Attendance messages for high school students will only be sent to the Primary Phone number and Home Email address indicated for the Primary Guardian.  Attendance messages will be sent out at 6:00 p.m. and will include all unexcused absences for the current day. 

Families can determine which phone numbers and which Email addresses will receive Skylert notifications by logging into Family Access.  Please Note:  Only the first guardian of the first family will be able to make changes to the information in the "Primary Guardian" area.  However, all other guardians in the first family will be able to enter additional phone numbers and email addresses in all fields other than those in the "Primary Guardian" area.

Second families do not have access to Skylert in Family Access.  Therefore, we ask that the first family enter additional numbers on behalf of the second family if requested.  These constraints are caused by software limitations not configurable by Winneconne Community School District.
